New word press blog – How I achieved the mark 1000 impressions a day in 3 days!

I find thousands of people who start blogs to make some revenue but end up either deleting their accounts or making their blog as a dead site in the internet world. Reason is obvious – no traffic despite interesting content.  Again the reason behind getting less traffic is “ineffective ways of promotion! "


Promotion Techniques:
The world doesn’t recognize your blog as soon as you write an interesting article. You need to promote it in several social networking sites and forums.  First of all, you need to have a good number of followers in these social networking sites and you must have a good reputation in the forum sites. It makes sense because the size of your network is directly linked to the number of visitors you get. You tend to receive some traffic from forums only when the people there trust you. I don’t mean you need to have thousands of friends and you must have made hundreds of posts when I said I am getting 1000 impressions a day. An average figure- say 200 friends and about 50 posts should do. Don’t just register in forums and start promoting – it only results in the termination of your account. Build trust, make friends and then you can start your promotion.


Number of Posts on a page:
Don’t show all your valuable content in a single page. Limit the number of posts shown per page to 1 or 2.  Use a program like Link Within to add a script that finds related posts and adds only the titles at the end of your post.  This is a sure way to increase the number of impressions as the visitor needs to go to a different page if he/she wants to read your other articles. Even if the visitor doesn’t visit your other pages, he/she may find links to them some other time at some other site and visit your blog again to read the article. If you are displaying everything in a single page, he may not visit again to read the same content. This makes sense right? Moreover, if you are displaying 7 or 8 posts at a time, it takes hell of time to load the entire page and may result in the visitor getting frustrated and he may never visit your site again.


Commenting:
Try to look for similar content or pictures or videos. If there is an option to provide comments, write something interesting and put a link to your post at the end. Just adding the link would lead to the deletion of your comment. Let me cite an interesting example
Ex: You have written a post on “how to add adsense content inside a post”.  You just scanned Google and found several other posts.  You commented on one of the posts as follows
“That is interesting – I have written a similar post here - <your link>”
You may write it in a different way
“Nice but I guess adding the adsense code just after the title and wrapping it will fetch better results as explained here <your link>”
Now you can guess which comment can get more visitors!


Content:
I don’t need to say that content is king! Always stick to unique content. Don’t lose your patience if you haven’t received good impressions the first few days. If it is really interesting, there will be a day where you find the number of impressions increasing in an exponential way!  This is the main reason why people are losing interest in blogging.

You don’t need to have so much of SEO knowledge to get good number of impressions. It is only the quality and uniqueness of content that is going to fetch you traffic. Interestingly, Google doesn’t like too much SEO and is now realizing that the results must be focused on quality content rather than the inbound links to a particular page. Anyways, you don’t need to worry about all this if you have something unique in your mind and if you have the writing skills. Just promote your page though social networking, forums and blog comments and have some patience. I can guarantee you that you will be reaching the 1000 impression mark in few days.
